In fact, the current dispute among Entomologists is whether restoring the valid name (articulata) or keeping on using the historically accepted name (ichneumonides), knowing that the name articulata (1792) has priority on the name ichneumonides (1805) and the assignment of the latter name has been arbitrary.
In the present study we have chosen to support the
Principle of Priority: Methocha Latreille, 1804.

L'auteur a choisi de suivre la loi d'antériorité et donc de conserver le nom Methocha articulata (Latreille, 1792)
