J'avais posté l'an passé une photo d'un individu qui me semble appartenir à la même espèce (voir ici). J'ai pris soin cette fois de varier les angles de prises. Peut-on aller plus loin dans la détermination à partir de ces deux vues ? Merci d'avance !
Pour distinguer Epistrophe de Syrphus il faut une bande jaune sur les bords de la face dorsale du thorax comme ça : http://www.diptera.info/photogallery.php?photo_id=7996.
Là on ne les voit pas, sans savoir si c'est une question d'éclairage !
Je suis perplexe...
- tergites 3 et 4 with bands => 4
- 4b. antennae : yellow, upper margin of 3rd segment often darkened => 7
- 7. tars 3 entirely pale or dark, without distinct dark rings on pale background =>8
- 8a. wing : basal cells bm and/or br partly bare => 9
- 9a : Thoracic dorsum : in front 2/3rth (almost) without dusting, shiny ; scutellum : at least 1/3rth black hairs ; tergite 5 : black spot at least 1/3rth of the tergite wigth => 10
- 10.a : arista black ; frons dusted only along eye margin, shiny (or nearly so) in the middle.

Dans ce cas on va vers :
- 7b. Tars 3 : background colour pale, with 6 well defined black rings, on the base and top of the metatars and the apex of the other tarsal segments ; scutellar dorsum mainly black haired ; arista black ; tibia 3 pale ; tergite 5 yellow with a small black spot in the middle.
11-13 mm Finland => Epstrophe annulitaris
D'après FE et TaxRef il est effectivement absent de France
Personnellement je ne vois pas les anneaux du tarse 3 tel que définis, mais l'interprétation des clés est pour moi souvent difficile.
