De retour de Chine, dans la province de l'Anhui, j'ai observé pas mal de Sympetrums, dont certains me posent question. Je vous les propose au fur et à mesure.
Celui-ci m'interroge entre Baccha et Risi. Géographiquement, ce serait plutôt le premier, mais visuellement (de ce que j'ai pu voir trouver sur internet), ce serait plutôt le 2ème.
Sur internet, on ne trouve rien sur la nervation des ailes, n'y a-t-il aucun critère entre les sympetrums là-dessus?

A noter que j'ai pris pour chaque espèce des photos sous tous les angles, avec en tête l'idée de rédiger une petite note qui compile les critères pour toutes les espèces observées.

Voilà ce qu'on lit dans "Odonata of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China, part II: Anisoptera":
"Remarks: The wings of the nominate subspecies (S. baccha baccha)arehyaline in contrast to the
wings of the Japanese subspecies S. b. matutinum Ris, which are black-tipped. The
latter is known from Heilongjiang and Russia."

Voilà la description que fait Needham dans A manual to the dragonflies of Chinna, 1930, de S. baccha.
"Sympetrum baccha Selys
(Pl. 15, fig. 7)

Ser, A.
Abd. 33-35 mm. H. W. 38-40 mm. Central and South,astern China
This is a fine large species. Lips yellow with a blackish dot at the middle of the
base of the upper lip. Face yellow with a pair of diffuse blackish spots on the rounded
front of the frons. These may be confluent in atransverse blackish stripe. A \vide
blackish band covers the rear of the frons above, and envelops thevertex except in the
rear of the tubercle. Face thinly clothed with brown hairs.Occiput brown.
BHobed rear margin of theprothorax black with yellow hairs. Front of syn thorax
mainly blackish with a pair of isolated yellowish stripes divergent downward and a
transverse stripe of the same color across the black edged crest. Sides yellow with
blackish stripes on the sutures, the broad humeral black stripe separated from the dark
area of the front by diffuse yellow above. The stripes on the middlesuture forked and

abbreviated above. That on the third lateral entire and twice dilated near the middle.
Legs black beyond the shortbasal segment. Front femora yellow beneath. Wings
hyaline , costa yellow at the base , stigma brown. Extreme tips of wings washed with
brown in both sexes.
Abdomen., including appendages, yellowish, becoming reddish in old males.
Dorsum of basal segments black. Segments 2 and 3 narrowly ringed with brown on
thetransverse carinae. Segments 4-5 and g blackened apically both above and below,
tending toward an annulate pattern and in the female toward lateral striping. ro
yellow above across theapical margin, black beneath.
I have received specimens from Dr. C. Ping collected at Amoy, from Prof. C. R.
Kellogg in Fukien, and from the Shanghai Museum collected in the same province,
from Dr. P. P. Calvert collected by S. F. Light in Amoy or Foochow, and from the
Caliiornia Academy of Sciences, collected in Weisohn."

Cette espèce vole aussi au Japon, et comme j'ai trouvé une fiche d'identification locale, je me suis dit que le mieux serait de contacter par message privé un de nos membres qui habite sur place.
J'ai aussi trouvé S. risi sur des sites photos participatifs, donc ça reste à prendre avec précaution, mais ça semble y ressembler

Bonjour.
Je connais bien les deux especes citees et c'est ici S.risi, tres commun chez moi. S.baccha a des motifs thoraciques plus complexes et a en general lethorax plus sombre.
