the early date, en the greenish tinge of the puparium, suggests to me Ch. alrilina!

Oui, je sais bien mais ça ne colle pas. La mienne est de fin mars. De plus, je ne vois vraiment pas la formation en étoile partir de la nervure centrale. Je viens de réécrire à W. Ellis.

sorry Catherine, I should have explained. These mines are of the (rare?) winter generation of aprilina. I discovered them myself, long ago, here in the Netherlands, and it took me quite while to identify. Under the Dutch climate this plant usually drops all its leaves in the winter, so the mines “could not exist”. Maybe the climate change has favoured it! Anyway, I have seen a number of occasions of this winter mine, that has a mine pattern thet strognly differs from the summer mine. But the south of france, thst was quite new!
